Its a difficult balance to achieve, but thats not even the most commendable design aspect of Falconers home.

Candle sconces from the New Preston, Connecticut antique store, Dawn Hill, flank an antique mirror Falconer found on 1stDibs. An acid-green lamp from Fifi Laughlin in New Orleans is one of many NOLA-sourced touches in a nod to Falconer’s hometown.

Plus, shes had to bring a few masculine touches to her largely feminine tastes.

The small space is one Falconer is most proud of.
As for her own bedroom, Falconer continues her appreciation of luxurious fabrics.
An onyx pedestal invites Falconer to punctuate it with fresh flowers from time to time.

The antique orange lumbar pillow was sourced from the exceptional B. Viz and an antique botanical painting from Falconer’s grandmother hangs between the windows.

The large fern painting is by New Orleans-based artist (and Falconer’s good friend) Helen Kohnke Winston, and a lucite-legged ottoman is upholstered in fabrics from Claremont & Rose Tarlow.

The French antique table was formerly used as a dining table but is now moved to the side to make room for Falconer’s growing family—and a toddler table and chair set from Goodee, which sits atop an antique, patchworked carpet from Istanbul.

In one nursery, custom shades with fabric from Soane hang above a rattan daybed from Serena & Lily. In the foreground, Falconer upholstered an antique stool from her mother’s childhood bedroom with fabric from Decors Barbares.

The acrylic crib from Nursery Works adds a punch of modernity among the many antiques. The chair was sourced from Antique & Artisan.

In the most recent addition to the apartment, the second nursery, which was created with temporary walls, Falconer painted the room in Grafclean in Peach from Rose Uniacke and filled it with a bassinet from Charlie Crane and an antique dresser from Doyle Auctions.
