The start of awards season is a time for making a statement, whether through a wholly revamped look or, in Jennifer Aniston’s case, a modernized nod to an iconic style past.
The actor stole spotlight on the Golden Globes 2024 red carpet with a new layered chop that immediately called to mind The Rachel, a late-90s cut whose influence can be found in the current beauty landscape.
To pull the cut into the present tense (and honor her own aesthetic evolution), Aniston eschewed ultra-abbreviated snips in favor of long, piecey layers that fell flatteringly around the face before spilling over shoulders.

Though still marked by a deep side part, the evening’s interpretation was more sleek and chic than round and bouncy, the sophisticated shag paired with a beaded black dress, sun-kissed skin, and a burgundy manicure.
The result was more clever ode than full-on throwbackstill, The Rachel' 2.0 is bound to inspire its share of copy-cats.
