The history?
Those country club vibes are no accident.
The property was, in fact, originally developed as a high-end 18-hole golf course in 1923.

In the 1940s, it was expanded to include a full-service resort, complete with a swimming pool.
Thats when it really began to draw in the VIPs.
The spa itself wasnt actually built until the late 1990s.

What should you try?
Theres also an ocean-inspired scrub that uses sea salt infused with Ojai citrus.
But you might need a group for that: Kuyam means a place to rest together, explains Morrison.
How environmentally friendly is it?
Most of our ideas have come from different staff members, she explains.
The green initiatives have resulted in property-wide upgrades.

We have a lot of locals who are extremely loyal and come back to their favorite therapists.
