In 2021, she went to a fitting for a friends wedding at theSilvia Tcherassistore in Coral Gables.
To Mariels surprise, Silvia was there.

Mariel agreed, and days later, Mauricio slid into her DMs.
Mauricio says he was immediately captivated by Mariel on their first date.
In June 2023, Mauricio proposed to Mariel in Capri, Italy.
Secretly, he had a ring in his pocket.
It was there where I got on one knee and asked her to marry me, he says.
They returned to Capri for the sunset and dinner at Hotel Caesar Augustus.
Mariel wore Silvia Tcherassi throughout.
I loved my wedding dress almost as much as I loved the process of its creation.
Afterwards, guests headed into an enchanted forest reception.
The night hit a pinnacle when Mariel surprised Mauricio with a performance by Chico & The Gypsies.
The couple says that they are still on cloud nine after their wedding.

We could not have asked for a better start to our marriage, says Mauricio.
Our guest welcoming bags featured Silvia Tcherassi scarves for women and handkerchiefs for men.
