It was a few different things, one of which was a conversation with my agent.
We all grew up in the suburbs.

Was there any resident who showed up first in your mind, and how did the rest come about?
I started with full names for everyone.
Are there any 1960s-era works in particular that you drew inspiration from?
It absolutely does feel different, and it is different.
It requires a different kind of attention, a different kind of care.
