Creative director and restaurateur Humberto Leon was in college when he first saw Its Oh So Quiet on television.

It was so happy and joyful yet weird and strangeeverything I love in one, he recalled.

Humberto Leon: Can you tell me about the day you met Bjork?

Björk and Spike.

Björk and Spike.

So this was very exciting to get to do a Bjork video.

They sent me four songs from Post, which were all incredible.

The idea that came the quickest was for Its Oh So Quiet.

Björk in the pool at Chateau Marmont.

Björk in the pool at Chateau Marmont.

And I was like, Well, do you have any tweaks, anything you want to do?

And shes like, I just want to wear an orange dress.

My reaction was, Okay, perfect.

And that was it.

It was so easy and fun, and she was just the warmest, up for anything.

So the day she got in town, I went to the Chateau Marmont, where she was staying.

It has a clout to it.

But I think back then there was so much mystique to it.

And it wasnt anything.

It wasnt a thing.

It was probably still pretty rundown then, but it wasnt crowded.

Also you could kind of do anything there.

We just went down to the pool and shot photos for two hours, and nobody cared.

Jonze:Yeah, probably.

And then walked around the garden and ended up at the pool.

But it wasnt a big production in any way.

As soon as I met her, it was instantly natural.

But before that I thought she was sort of mythical or you dont know who she is.

Shes this mystery from another dimension or something.

Thats why she was so down.

She didnt have any entourage.

She didnt have a publicist.

She didnt have a hair and makeup person.

I was like, Oh, okay.

Were just going to make something together.

Our friendship still sort of meets at that place.

Leon: Shes otherworldly.

Jonze:So otherworldly, yeah.

She was just roaming around the Chateau.

And nobody cared at this time.

I dont even know if they even had a security guard.

Its almost like you were just like, Throw that blanket over your body and jump on the bed.

And she was like, Sure.

Jonze:Ive never really gone back to look at them.

It catapulted her into this other world, this new life.

Really, I almost cant even take credit for any photos being good because theyre just….

But this was just her.

Just point the camera at her, and shes compelling.
